Dear Friends,
Just a another friendly reminder of what is going on for the Arts in the fine state of Missouri, or rather, right in the middle of it. Our first stop is a fine artist based out of Jefferson city. She is now offerring classes for the taking.
Landscape painting class this Sat. Oct. 15 or Sat. Oct. 22 10:00-2:00, bring supplies, oils or acrylic paints, a 16x20 canvas, and we will paint along together. Meet at my studio, 4215 Sturbridge Rd., reply to this email or call me at 694-5904 if attending. Learn where to start with a landscape, color mixing, trees and foliage, composition and lighting. Our last stop takes us to Chesterfield where fashion rules the month.
Rogue To Vogue: Fashion Re-InventedChesterfield Arts is part of the biennial Innovations in Textiles event that includes galleries from across the region featuring a variety of textile artists. The opening reception for this exhibit will be Friday, September 16 from 6 to 8pm. Look for stylish couture assembled from peculiar materials, such as coffee filter dresses and hats made from bubble wrap. This Fashion Forward exhibit will include juried works from local artists.
