The Columbia Art League is proud to announce the opening of “Green”

Once the preserve of landscape artists, green has developed its own modern day persona, evoking a love of earth, the environment, sustainable living and recycling.  In “Green”, artists are invited to bring their own interpretation to bear: a statement about the beauty of the planet, a paean to Earth Day (April 22nd), a re-purposing of found objects or maybe an exploration of envy.  Expect a vivid journey through the verdant corner of the color box and a celebration of the planet we call home.

“Green” is a juried show open to Columbia Art League members and non-members.  Artists are invited to submit up to two works for the juror’s consideration.  Artwork in all mediums is welcome.  Artwork should be submitted on Friday 12th or Saturday 13th April, 11am-5pm both days.

Work not selected will be picked up the following Monday or Tuesday.  All work must be for sale, and preferably completed in the last two years.  All work must be wired and it should be labeled on back with artist’s name.  The jury fees are per person and they are $15.00 for Art League members and $25.00 for non-members.

If you have any questions, please contact Diana Moxon at 573-443-8838.  You can check out the gallery at 207 S. 9th street in Columbia or go to the website at www.columbiaartleague.org .
