Native American Yaqui Maaso painting by Steven Wilson

This is an older piece based on a Yaqui Maaso dancer.  In my trips outwest I have witnessed a few ceremonies, but this piece is taken from photos of a deer ceremony.

Materials:Acrylic and Ceramic stucco/silica sand on canvas

I used the sand as a reference to another tribe of Native American Indians: Navajo.
