Columbia,
MO (May 11th, 2013)—The Columbia Art League is proud to announce the
Art in the Park for 2013. It will be
held on June 1 and June 2. For Saturday
it will be open from 10am to 5pm. On
Sunday it will run from 10am to 4pm. The
Stephens Lake Park will again be the host park for the festival.
Some
of the highlights for this years Art in the Park include; Jeff Copeland live
painting, Emerging artist tent for Boone county, local musicians will perform
during the festival, Parents can take their children to the Kid’s Art Spot as
well as help the child start their own art collection at the Young collectors
tent.
Visitors
can purchase art and even speak with the artist. There is also yard sculpture, earrings, and
scarves. Sunflower waffle company will
be present to make your visit dream like and visitors can also enjoy some Italian
ice to cool down. There is always something
for everyone at Art in the Park.
The
Art in the Park is made possible by hundreds of volunteers as well as sponsors
which include; Commerce Bank, Missouri Art Council, RagTag Cinema, Shelter
Insurance, and Columbia College.
