Upcoming events at the Columbia Art League

Our ever popular Tea & Hats afternoon tea is coming up on Wednesday 28th October! We'll provide the tea and cakes, you bring a hat.

If you don't have a hat, that's fine too, you still get to eat the cakes! In case you're in the market for a new hat, the afternoon does include a hat-buying opportunity thanks to St. Louis-based milliner Diane Tessman whose hats were a big hit at last year's tea. She'll have more of her gorgeous creations with her.
A new addition to this year's tea is a rare pastry demonstration by the University Club's award winning Chef, Daniel Pliska. Chef Pliska will also be talking about his new book, 'Pastry and Dessert Techniques', which was a 4-year labor of love and includes full-page glossy photos. He'll have a limited number of signed books for sale at the tea.
Tickets for the tea cost $30 per person and are available from CAL and also via Paypal from the CAL website. You can also purchase a full table (8 seats) for $350 which includes two CAL Patron-level memberships and 10% discount vouchers for all your guests towards any purchases they make of the table-top artworks displayed at the tea.
Proceeds from the tea go towards CAL's art-reach programming, so you get to eat cakes AND help us create more art-making opportunities out in the community.
And men, you're definitely invited too - bowlers, pith helmets and berets are most welcome!
Boone County Art Show - entry forms available!
